Center for Soft Matter and Biological Physics ARO grant

Center members' Professor Uwe C. Täuber and Professor Michel Pleimling of Virginia Tech Physics Department proposal was accepted for the 2019 Undergraduate Research Apprenticeship Program (URAP) with ARO. The Army Educational Outreach Program (AEOP) Apprenticeships provides a unique opportunity for undergraduate students to conduct real world, Army-sponsored research alongside practicing scientists and engineers in excellent facilities such as Virginia Tech. Please view flyer for more details on the research project.   Students will be able to apply on the AEOP website starting January 2, 2019 at www.usaeop.com. The deadline is February 28, 2019.  After reviewing all applications, the students that are chosen for the program will be notified.
